No Tan is a Safe Tan!
Story
Hi there,
We are Lily, Holly, Kalia and Garrick, we are Health Science students at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle campus, studying Health and Physical Education and Exercise and Sport Science.
On the 10th of April 2024 for a Health Promotion unit, our group will be running a stall as part of a health promotion expo event, educating our peers around the harms of UV and promoting the ease of sun safe practices to raise funds for Melanoma Institute Australia.
We created this fundraising page to help Melanoma Institute Australia reach zero deaths from melanoma.
Australia has the highest rates of melanoma in the world. Melanoma is the most common cancer affecting 20 to 39-year-old Australians and one Australian is diagnosed with the disease every 30 minutes. It is estimated 1300 Australians will die from melanoma this year.
With your help, the funds we raise will support MIA’s world-class research, treatment, and education programs to save lives from melanoma. Melanoma research is also underpinning treatment for other cancers, including brain cancer.
Click ‘Donate’ to make a secure online donation. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Thank you for your support!
