KangaNews Awards 2025

Story

In 2025 and for the second year running KangaNews will be supporting the Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) as the chosen charity for its annual KangaNews Awards Gala Dinner, donating all the dinner profits it receives to MIA.

In 2024, thanks also to generous donations from dinner guests, we raised a record A$50,000. We very much hope to match or beat this tally in 2025, as we continue to fundraise for those people and their families in the Australian debt capital market that have been affected by melanoma.

Melanoma is the most common cancer affecting 20 to 39-year-old Australians and one Australian is diagnosed with the disease every 30 minutes. It is estimated 1300 Australians will die from melanoma this year.

With your help, the funds we raise will support MIA’s world-class research, treatment, and education programs to save lives from melanoma. Melanoma research is also underpinning treatment for other cancers, including brain cancer.

Click ‘Donate’ to make a secure online donation. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

If you would like to make a corporate donation and need to discuss this further, please contact Helen Craig at hcraig@kanganews.com

Thank you for your support!
